                          STATEMENT RE: PRESS COMMENT                          

London & Associated Properties PLC ("LAP" or "the Company"), the focused retail
property specialist, notes the recent press comment concerning the sale of King
Edward Court, LAP's Windsor shopping centre (the "Windsor Centre"). LAP can
confirm that it is currently in discussions with Scottish Widows Investment
Properties which may or may not lead to the sale of the Windsor Centre. The
Company will report further to shareholders at the appropriate time.
